Ulysses
Rauma shipyard has built for Irish Continental Group, trading as Irish Ferries vehicle carrying cruise ferry. The vessel has capacity for 2,000 persons and 4,000 lane metres of vehicle deck space. It is designed to operate on short sea international routes. It carries passengers, private cars, semitrailers, articulated vehicles and other wheeled cargoes.
The vessel is drive-through with cargo capacity on four decks - the fourth and highest being a new feature on ropax-vessels. The passenger spaces are of cruise vessel standard. There are 2,050 seats, 157 passenger cabins and 80 crew cabins. Propulsion by four medium speed engines provide a service speed of 22 knots.
