For this purpose, we run MEYER TURKU Shipbuilding School providing excellent vocational education and training. Specific training events and courses give our employees an opportunity to advance on their careers.

Approximately 1,400 staff members are currently working for MEYER TURKU. The shipyard is a major employer in Southwest Finland, but also throughout the maritime network in Finland.

MEYER TURKU is a member of The Finnish Marine Industries, an association that consists of 73 member companies. It is remarkable that, all combined, the Finnish maritime cluster employs over 40,000 people. The cluster is a network of all actors involved in technology, education, training and manufacturing, formed around the maritime industries and shipping.
