I. HECHOS:
El 10 de octubre de 2016, a las 18:30 horas aproximadamente se registraron intensas precipitaciones pluviales acompañadas de vientos fuertes, ocasionando inundación y voladura de techos de las viviendas en la localidad de Chuchin.
I. INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
Las precipitaciones registradas, las condiciones del Océano Pacífico respecto al nivel del mar por la ocurrencia de los aguajes y oleajes, las condiciones de tiempo y clima en general y la actividad volcánica, han provocado varios eventos a escala nacional, los cuales corresponden a inundaciones, deslizamientos, caídas de ceniza, entre otros, causando impactos en población, salud, infraestructura física, líneas vitales y ambiente.

HIGHLIGHTS AND STATISTICS
The number of new refugees, asylum-seekers and migrants, encountered by UNHCR and partners in Serbia, kept rising, to around 5,800. 81% (or 4,725) were accommodated in governmental facilities, with 1,780 in five Asylum Centres and 2,954 in Refugee Aid Points/Reception Centre, while the others were counted at night in Belgrade City or the border with Hungary. UNHCR, authorities and partners maintained reinforced presence and support at all sites throughout the country.

- Angola epidemiological update (as of 6 October):
o The last confirmed case had symptom onset on 23 June.
o Forty-two probable cases were reported in the last four weeks.

- Democratic Republic of the Congo epidemiological update (as of 12 October):
o The last confirmed non-sylvatic case had symptom onset on 12 July.

Voluntary repatriation
During the reporting period, 2,525 returnees were supported to voluntarily return to Somalia by flight and road convoys.
In total, as of 30th September, 32,949 Somali refugees had returned home since 8th December 2014, when UNHCR started supporting voluntary return of Somali refugees in Kenya, out of which 26,848 were supported in 2016 alone.

HIGHLIGHTS
5,104 people fled to Uganda from South Sudan on the 12th and 13th October. In October, an average of 2,326 new arrivals have fled to Uganda every day. The majority of refugees are arriving using the Oraba and Busia border points, with smaller numbers arriving through Kerwa and Keyi (Yumbe district), Palorinya (Moyo), Elegu (Adjumani) and Lamwo. Around 130 refugees arrived via the Democratic Republic of Congo, crossing in to Uganda at Salyam Sala and Birijaku.
According to the United States’ National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s National Hurricane Centre, Hurricane Matthew was around 40 miles (70 km) east of Jacksonville, Florida, United States and 135 miles (215 km) south of Savannah, Georgia, United States as of 5 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (9 pm Universal Time Coordinated [UTC]).
