Three high-speed aluminium catamarans have been delivered to Swedish Stena Ab in 1996-1997: GTS Stena Explorer, GTS Stena Voyager and GTS Stena Discovery. These ferries are capable of carrying up to 1,500 passengers and 375 cars or alternatively 50 trucks and 100 cars.

Stena HSS ferries provide high speed transportation, heavy loading capacity and excellent passenger comfort. Furthermore, the vessels have generously proportioned passenger service and entertainment areas.

The catamarans are powered by a combination of four water jets and four gas turbines. Jet propulsion ensures both safe manoeuvring and short stopping distance.
