Round-The-Year Operation

In 2007 MS Tallink Star, delivered from the yard in Helsinki, joined the Tallink fleet. She operates regular traffic between Helsinki and Tallinn and is capable to cross the sea between the two cities in less than two hours.

According to the owner, she is the fastest vessel ever built for such a short route. The ice class of the ferry allows year-round operation. Besides 1,900 passengers, the 185 m long and 27,7 m wide vessel is designed to carry private cars and freight units by having more than two kilometres of vehicle deck space. Combining passengers, private cars and freight on the same vessel is a good and efficient concept, as the different categories complement each other.

Tallink Star is built for round-the-year operating, the weather conditions are no longer an obstacle for a fast visit over the Gulf of Finland. All the latest technology is used to make the ship extra safe, e.g. navigation equipment is the best in the world.
