Ontario’s Climate Change Action Plan

Scientists agree – 2016 was the hottest year ever recorded. Whether it was higher costs due to a hotter summer or more severe flooding because of a faster spring melt, families and businesses – both urban and rural – felt the impact of climate change right here in Ontario.

Water and sewer rate hikes

With great news of further water and sewer hikes, I just want to remind you and yours that this stand alone special water and sewer fund mandated by the Ontario government is only to be used for repair, replacement and upkeep of the existing city water and sewer infrastructure. This is pretty clear in the Clean Water Act.
