Storyline

After blowing up Lisa's room - on her birthday - Homer wants to make it up to her and the whole family ends up going to a book fair. Among other authors, Krusty is signing books and one of the kids waiting in line is a girl named Sophie, who tells Krusty she's his daughter! A reluctant Krusty promises to take her to the beach where he realizes he's a lousy father and turns to Homer for some parental advice. The Simpsons help Krusty and he's getting a better dad. However, at a poker game, Krusty has a very good hand but no money and uses Sophie's violin as stake... Written by Marco van Hoof <k_luifje7@hotmail.com>

Quotes

Lisa: Miss Tan, I loved The Joy Luck Club. You really showed me how the mother-daughter bond could survive adversity.
Amy Tan: No, no, that's not what I meant at all. I can't believe how wrong you got it. Just sit down, I'm embarrassed for both of us.

Watchable, buy way too ordinary

This one felt tired, and was not really that funny.

I'm watching this Simpsons season and Season 5 of Two and a Half Men on DVD with my cousin. Boy, so far I've enjoyed much more Charlie Sheen and company, and episodes like Insane Clown Puppy doesn't do much for the Simpsons cause. I've seen pretty much all of this Simpsons season on TV but just now I'm re-watching these episodes. So far, after re- watching the first two, Lisa the Tree Hugger and Homer vs. Dignity, I can easily say Insane Clown Puppy is my least favourite and a completely forgettable show.

Drew Barrymore voices Sophie, Krusty's daughter who here finally meets her father. Boy oh boy, it's the same old, tired story: at first Krusty ain't the father Sophie expected and wanted but soon he will gain her totally, only to lose her (thanks to an action that at first sight wasn't going to hurt her) and finally, and with the help of Homer, win her again.

Nothing very memorable… nevertheless, Stephen King was great: "So, Mr. King, what tale of horror and the macabre are you working on now?" "Oh, I don't feel like writing horror right now.I'm working on a biography of Benjamin Franklin. He discovered electricity and used it to torture small animals and green mountain men. And that key he tied to the end of a kite? It opened the gates of Hell!".
