Long established NSU were producing Fiat models, until the rear engined normal aspirated combustion engined Prinz arrived in 1957. Imports into the UK started shortly afterwards where the well made cars sold to budget conscious motorists. The marques masterpiece but ultimate swansong was the advanced Rotary engined 1967 Ro80. Audi absorbed the brand 2 years later and following the VWs take over, killed the marque in 1977.
