First imports were badged as Colts arrived in the UK in 1974, although an attempt was made to import the cars in 1967. The cars were just a small part of the multinational companys products, with connections to the American General Motors and Chrysler corporations. From the 80’s all cars were badged as Mitsubishi, with further niche sports and off road vehicles broadening their appeal.
