Like other American marques, Pontiac established a small post war dealer network in the UK in 1955 again with sporadic import gaps and finally withdrew completely in the 1980’s. Other cars were either imported by US military services or more recently as private imports. The Firebird should be considered the most popular model in the UK, helped by its film and TV status.
