The Commer name was the commercial vehicle name for Rootes vans and trucks, with the PB/Spacevan being the most well known wearer of the badge. In typical Rootes fashion, once the Chrysler take over occured in 1976 subsequent models were badged as Dodges. Peugeot took over total control over the brand and the vehicles in 1978 and soon phased out the brand, but thanks to British Telecom’s demands the Spacevan remained in production until 1983.
