Imports into the UK started shortly after the first model was announced in 1963. Precariously surviving on little more than high powered machinery, Lamborghini went through several ownership changes and were often close to bankruptcy throughout the 60’s and 70’s. Luckily the company survived the stormy waters and with VWs guidance and cash they have emerged stronger than ever.
