The pregnant singer took to Facebook on Thursday to speak out against President Donald J. Trump's decision to withdraw protections for transgender students in public schools, encouraging others to "protect trans youth."

The guidance, which was instated by former President Barack Obama under Title IX protections last May, let transgender students use bathrooms and locker rooms corresponding with their gender identity, and threatened to withhold federal funding for schools that did not comply. Trump rescinded the guidelines on Wednesday, arguing that states and public schools should have the authority to make their own decisions without federal interference.

It was announced on Thursday that Sara Bareilles will be performing duringthe emotional tribute. "Sara’s unique artistry will honor those we’ve lost in our community including familiar faces and those behind the scenes who have enriched the art of moviemaking," producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd said in a statement.

Crooks started working with Mama June after she underwent gastric sleeve surgery in May 2015, which made her stomach smaller. However, when she couldn't lose any more weight, Crooks was brought in to help her get over the plateau. The celebrity trainer says the mother of four definitely wasn't a fan of exercise.

The 50-year-old singer apologized this week for past Facebook posts she made apparently implicating Arsenio Hall in supplying late music icon Prince with drugs over the years. The "Purple Rain" singer died at age 57 of a fetanyl overdose in April 2016.
