Michael Wernick was appointed Clerk of the Privy Council and Secretary to the Cabinet in January 2016.

Deputy Clerk of the Privy Council

Serge Dupont was appointed Deputy Clerk and Associate Secretary of the Cabinet in May 2016.

The Queen’s Privy Council for Canada is the group of cabinet ministers, former cabinet ministers and other prominent Canadians appointed to advise the Queen on issues of importance to the country.
