De Tomaso
The first official De Tomaso’s came into the UK in 1972, with the Deauville and Pantera offering Ford’s V8 engine in a selection of svelte good looking cars. The cars had an American connection with Ford, and were primarily marketed for sale over there. As a consequence sales were very low, due to a small dealer network and expense and imports gradually stopped in the mid 80’s.
