2017-04-18: On Friday 21st Apr at 12:00 computers (without displays) are being given for free. There are also keyboards and mice.
13.4.2017: Opiskelijoilla on tällä hetkellä käytössä ns. roaming profile, joka mahdollistaa esim. ohjelmien asetusten ja työpöydällä olevien tiedostojen siirtymisen koneelta toiselle.
Tämä ominaisuus poistuu käytöstä 22.5.
Opiskelijoiden tulee itsenäisesti varmistaa tarvitsemansa tiedostot talteen. Kotihakemisto U: pysyy käytössä kuten ennenkin.
Suurimmat syyt tähän muutokseen ovat käytön epävarmuus ja Windows 10 käyttöjärjestelmään siirtymisen muutokset. Windows 10 käyttöjärjestelmään tullaan siirtymään mahdollisuuksien mukaan ensi lukukaudella.

2017-04-13: At the moment our students have a so called roaming profile which has enabled the possibility for example for program settings and files stored on the desktop to follow the student from one computer to another.
This feature will be removed May 22nd
The students are required to backup their files independently. The homedrive (U:-drive) will be accessible as before.
The main reasons for this change is the features unreliability and the transition requirements for Windows 10. Depending on the possibilities we will be transitioning our classrooms to Windows 10 during the coming summer.

9.9.2016: eduroam-palvelun salausvarmenteet vaihdetaan keskiviikkona 14.9.2016. Muutoksella parannetaan yhteensopivuutta uusien laitteiden ja käyttöjärjestelmien kanssa. 2016-09-09: The certificates of the eduroam service will be changed on Wednesday 14th Sep 2016. The change improves the compatibility with new devices and operating systems. 4.3.2015: ÄLÄ käytä iOS-laitteille (iPad, iPhone) App Storesta ja Andoid-laitteille Google Play -palveluista löytyvää Microsoft Outlook -sovellusta. Sen käyttämässä palvelussa on vielä tällä hetkellä tietoturvariskejä. Käytä sen sijaan laitteesta jo valmiiksi löytyvää sähköposti-sovellusta.
2015-03-04: Do NOT use the Microsoft Outlook application found for iOS devices (iPad, iPhone) from App Store and for Android devices from Google Play. Service being used by the application has some security issues at the moment. Instead use the default e-mail application pre-installed on these devices.

2014-09-10: The automatic Portal system has been updated (stage 1/2): Old courses are now greyed. The change applies to all normal Moodle courses which have a corresponding course implementation in Winha. The colour changes to grey always when the end date of the course implementation has been passed.
