In 1909 the E. R. Thomas Co. introduced 17 new Thomas models. All were the famous Thomas Flyer first produced in 1902. Along with the new 1909 Thomas Flyer models, the E. R. Thomas Company equipped them with four new engines. Two Four cylinder engines of 16 horsepower and 60 horsepower were the most popular. A six cylinder that developed 40 horsepower was also available. If you want real power in 1909, a 70 horsepower engine could be equipped in most models.
