Roman Reigns will be traveling to India for the second time, this time as part of the Shield to take on Cesaro, Sheamus and Samoa Joe as WWE come to town in Delhi at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium today (9th December). Reigns is excited to be back in India and in a select media interaction the Big Dog talked about his last experience here, about Jinder Mahal and has a special message for his fans as well.

Excerpts:

You were the World Champion when you came to India in 2016. You got a huge reception then; what do you remember from the time?

What I remember was the building was really big and we filled it up man. You know, sometimes we have seen that even when you don't have a huge crowd, the attitude and energy can be still sometimes questionable. But, it was not like that, they were crazy loud, they were amazing, they were rowdy, it was a good sign and I was extremely proud to make my way to India. I was not originally on the tour; I replaced John Cena, so to be able to step in and receive that kind of reception I felt honoured; that was awesome.

How does it feel coming back to India?

It is awesome, it's all those things that I described. Why would you not come back; to have such huge fan base, to have such a strong culture and to be able to go there and represent our product, our form of entertainment; I love it, it is going to be great.

What can the fans coming to watch a WWE Live event for the first time expect?

A lot of things you actually see on TV, it is better, bigger, stronger and faster live. You cannot simulate the energy that you build, even if you see it on TV and get the Goosebumps, it is nothing like feeling it in the middle of the swamp or being in the crowd. If you enjoy it on TV, I guarantee you would like it 15 - 20 time more live.

What can we expect when the Shield takes on Samoa Joe and the Bar?

The Shield is going to do what The Shield does. They are going to throw a bunch of fists and beat up and we are going to come out on top, because we are the better team. That's the thing, we are the best team to be ever formed in the WWE. Even though we had our troubles In the past when we come together, nobody runs on all cylinders like us. We are the best, as far as team works goes everybody else is left beaten. So we are going to come to India and dominate.

What do you think about the rise of Jinder Mahal. And some one as decorated as you, what can you learn from him?

I am very proud of Jinder. We came in kind of at the same time, I have seen him go on a journey and he has been on a crazy roller coaster ride, all the way from when he was let go and he was on his own for a while and how he came back. So to see him go through that adversity and getting knocked down and then pick himself back up, I think that speaks about his resilience and work ethic. I am proud of him, I think he is doing a great job. What can I learn from him? I said before, you can learn from anybody. Just that adversity that he went through and be able to make it right to get his life and career back and now he represents a billion people, so definitely he is an inspiration and somebody you can look up to and learn from.

Apart from Jinder, you think more superstars from India will make it big?

Absolutely. Why not? There are so many people, such strong culture there, there is so much to give. We have a few guys down at the performance center and it is just a matter of time, and I bet Jinder is just the tip of the iceberg. The sphere head of it all. Just a lot of good luck to those guys and eventually they will be up here trying to take away my Championship.

What is your message to the fans in India?

I just want say that the last time I came, they were excellent. I felt that it was real, it gave me Goosebumps and I just want to say thank you the way they received me and we are going to come there and give it our all and it is going to be a great show and thank you for having us and looking forward to this.
