Chrysler/Hillman/Humber/Sunbeam/Talbot
Chrysler, formally known as the Rootes group, housed a number of brands – Humber, Hillman, Singer and Sunbeam. The Humber brand was used for the larger cars, while Singer and Sunbeam were used for sportier models up until the mid 70’s. The Hillman name was generally used for the family cars, but all models were replaced with Chrylser badging from 1976. Peugeot took control over Chrysler in 1978, who then rebadged the whole range to Talbot. The remaining models were assimilated into the Peugeot range and the brand was axed on passenger cars in 1986.
