    • Do you plan to release any more patches on the 360 specifically related to Hearthfire as I’m unable to purchase a third house with 2 of my characters.

  1. Poor show Bethesda. Why should I buy this when there are mods doing the same thing for free? We need some proper DLC at a decent price.

    • They haven’t mention anything about a patch for Hearthfire or Dawnguard yet. So it is more than likely buggy as or is more buggy than the Xbox version.

Seriously Beth the modding community had a patch out for Dawnguard inside of the first week to fix bugs which is over a month ago.

  2. I am very disappointed in the lack of news again. I thought HearthFire was a much smaller DLC than DG. PS3 owners really deserve better than “still workin’ on it”. Remember when Netflix CEO Reed Hastings wrote his infamous “We royally F’d up and here’s what we’re doing to make it right” speech about Qwickster? Yeah, you guys are at that point, if not past it.

      • This reminds my adoptive father, i lived with him near the city of Falkreath. He build the entire house. He always called me “my spice”.

He died trapped in her room .. the door just stopped working.

  3. PLEASE FIX DAWNGUARD ! it keeps Crashing to desktop for no reason , no mods installed clean insall , localized version , … please I am still waiting this to work ….

      • No I have no mods installed I want Bethesda to fx this , the patch s for english users , I have the Italian version WE NEED A DAWNGUARD FIX!

        • The patch has the Italian version too. If you waiting for a final solution from the company or a miraculous mod, you need check Oblivion, Fallout 3 and so on.. theres no final solution. They are cool games, but have a lot of bugs.

    • Skyrim is just to massive for the ps3 to handle as Skyrim is probably the most data heavy game out there and to to the Ps3 having a split memory. Hiring someone who knows what he’s doing on the Ps3 isn’t really a solution There might not even be one unfortunately. I think Bethesda should have skipped the ps3 altogether if they couldn’t get it running properly.

  4. PS3 users are still waiting for Dawnguard, i thought the PS3 version of Skyrim was supposed to be “getting lots of attention”?

    • Bethesda is focusing a lot of attention on the Ps3 but unfortunately this may be a hardware issue and not a software one. The PS3 has a split memory which isn’t an issue for most games but open world games have a little trouble on ps3 and Skyrim is one of the most data heavy games of them all. It’s not uncommon to get save files close to 20 MB. So there may not be a solution at all unfortunately.

  5. Ugh, how about you guys fix the actual game first? I find myself quitting every 15 minutes to look up setstage console commands because something is busted in a quest. I haven’t played in almost a month because I get so ticked that damn near everything is broken in this game.

Passing on this and all other future DLCs until a pack comes out. Hopefully the game will run proper by then…

    • No, they are charging the US less, because the US is poorer than AUえーゆー. AUえーゆー has x2 the US minimum wage, so be glad the prices aren’t equally scaled.

  6. Why wasn’t a patch released for the PC when one was needed for the xbox? Game crashes every time I enter Breezehome, perhaps there are even more problems I’ve yet to encounter, because it’s far too frustrating to play at the moment.

  7. Well, as a PS3 player of both Skyrim and Oblivion, I am patiently waiting for the DLC for BOTH games. But I can wait longer to get a stable add-on. :-)

  8. “Still on it,” huh? Yeah, right. Hopefully once Dishonored’s out Bethesda will finally admit that there’s not going to be any Skyrim DLC for the PS3 so Pete Hines can tweet in peace.

  9. As usual BGS have released a bombshell

Guys – Un-install it until we can get a community fix for BGS typical mess

Read this topic which highlights the problems you will experience after installing the damned thing http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1414685-hearth-fire-is-out/

Bethsoft – How many times have you read about your DLCs needing cleaned of ITMs and UDRs ?, DawnGuard was the same, needing an un-official patch to get it right, as were all DLCs for Oblivion before it.

  10. Exclusivity runs out and there’s a day and date release of DLC for the PC and an update for PS3? Nope. I take it that the previous update still applies, and that update was merely a rewording of the initial “this doesn’t work so we’re not releasing it statement” so that would be, no progress whatsoever.

This movie is boring, can we skip to the end where the bad guy finally hits his dead end and delivers his final confession? Just admit that you gave up on Skyrim PS3 months ago, that there will be no DLC and no patches, apologise for all the lies told both before and after release over the last 12-18 months and tell us why we should continue to support you and your future titles. You have the stones right? So man up and tell us what’s going on.

      • Oh yeah…We can tell.
Last update on August 30th, and nothing since then except a copy and paste job.

We haven’t even gotten a new bug fix for the base game yet even though it is sorely needed.

At this point, I don’t even care about DLC, I would just like the base game fixed. Please. I paid the same amount as PC and Xbox 360 players for a game that does not work half as well. I think the PS3 users deserve at least a base game that works as well as the other consoles.

        • What people expected?
hey Gstaff, visit the programmers room, ask about all kinds of logs. Then copy in a pendrive and paste here! We have masters in engine development here, we are capable to build nude characters and amazing houses! we can solve!

      • You answer the criticism of not giving any updates by simply repeating the same line? Reposting that same update over and over gives the impression that no progress has been made, that then leads to the impression that Bethesda aren’t even trying, ie have given up.

If you haven’t given up and are “still working to see what is possible” then you would have a progress update would you not?

        • Did you stop to consider that he may not KNOW what’s going on? You do realize he’s mainly a PR guy, right?

If you don’t know by now that Bethesda isn’t the talkative type of company, you need to go back and research their history. They generally don’t engage as directly as you seem to want them to.

Keep in mind the PS3 thing is also something they have to deal with Sony on and perhaps, just maybe, it’s actually Sony who doesn’t want them talking right now.

          • You do realize “PR” stands for Public Relations, right? Relating to the public does not mean repeating the same line over and over again. I know that GStaff is in a bad position, and in some ways I sympathize with him, but I and the other PS3 owners deserve some information.

    • Every single game have a wave of headaches. I need mods to fix clothes, to fix textures, to fix door, to fix quest, to fix every single molecule on the map. I will not buy Hearthfire. Mods are cool, but is better launch a game called “The Elder Tool” for the mod community create the rest.. just a pile of enviroments, clothes and random missions, same effect.

  11. Now forgive me if I’m mistaken, but that should be the end of the 30 day exclusive contract for the Xbox, right? The agreement was the first two packs, if I remember correctly.

Also, you might want to give PS3 gamers an update on whether or this is coming to their console. There’s also still the matter of Dawnguard to deal with.

    • Our forum post on working on Dawnguard/PS3 DLC can be found here
      http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1407614-update-on-ps3-dlc/

“Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.”

Our team is still working to make PS3 content available on PS and doing everything possible to make it a possibility.

      • Can you really do nothing but post the same comment over and over? All we want is a real, honest update. Has there literally been absolutely no progress at all over the last three months? I don’t know why Bethesda continues to keep us in the dark in this whole thing. We’ve waited and waited and waited, it’s time for Bethesda to start having a real discussion with their fan base about what is going on.

        • Once you’ve been pulled into a corporate organization, everything becomes secret and you’re just paying for a seat to come along for the ride if you’re a customer. It is literally ruining the gaming industry, save for the few bastions of reason that have rose up to give indie a place on the map.

  12. I’m counting down the days. It has been over 4 months since the release of Dawngaurd and PS3 doesn’t haven’t. Don’t do it again, Bethesda…

  13. I already spent the money that was on my psn account on something that I could actually play. Bethesda has lost a lot of money because of dawngaurd.

  14. I have been a loyal fan from daggerfall all they way to skyrim but the way we ps3 players have been abandoned the same excuses and bugs over and over my patience is all but gone sorry to let such a good game go but no reason why I should be loyal to a company that’s not loyal to there fans

  15. By the time “Dawnguard” comes out we’ll probably be to busy with our ps4… Oh and does anyone know if “The Elder Scrolls Online” is a pc only game?

  16. I’m a PC user and i will not buy this unless it comes together with the next DLC…..if not…then is not worth it…because in “nexus” we can find a mod for this…. anyway…

  17. finally out! Have waited for it sooooo much! Thanks Bethesda! Pocket money for this amazing game! Love you guys and the Elder Scrolls! Keep up the good work…

    • Shame? Just check the type of “creative director” have inside one of the partners company. This is Tim Willits, the lame version of John Romero.

“I wanted to strangle him. It’s QuakeCon! Everyone fucking loves Rage here, shut up!” Tim Willits, the creative direct of id Software, told me in an interview the next day. He was laughing, and seemed to take it in stride, but still. Everyone in the room knew this was going to be a big story. “You don’t think everyone in the audience knows that ATI released the wrong drivers? Dude, zip it!”

      http://penny-arcade.com/report/editorial-article/tim-willits-talks-doom-4-john-carmack-and-what-id-learned-from-skyrims-laun

Do not delete this gstaff! people need to see the masks of all developers.

      • I remember this. Tim Willits is the kind of soft-spoken handler. I ´am one of the “pc scums” Tim. Your words during the 20 years of id software in 2011, do you remember? or now the console group are scum too?

They need remember about the thousands of dollars.. this shit come from us in the major part.

  18. Still working to see what’s possible?
Do you have 1 guy working with 1 person from Sony in a broom closet, or what?
Months have passed and you’re telling us you’ve made no progress?
Am I the only 1 losing faith in Bethesda’s abilities?

  19. Great mod! But it really bothers me that you can’t remove wings/rooms if you mess up. Please can this be an added option? I ruined one of my houses and don’t even go there any more, which really upsets me. I know lots of other people want this too!

  20. IF THE NEXT POST ABOUT SKYRIM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PROGRESS ABOUT ANY SKYRIM DLC ON PS3 I WILL NOT BUY ANYOF THEM. GUYS JUST GO BUY ASSASINS CREED 3 IT WON’T BE AS BROKEN AS ANY BETHESDA GAME IS ON PS3. BETHESDA, KEEP SUCKING ON MICROSOFT AND BILLGATES DICK BECAUSE THEY PAY YOU MORE THAN WE EVER HAVE AND EVER WILL. ALL OF YOUAT BETHESDA CAN GO FUCK YOURSELF AND THEN GO FUCK MICROSOFT BECAUSE ITS THE ONLY THING YOU ARE GOOD AT GOD DAMN BASTARDS!!

    • Do not blame Microsoft. if Sony had caught exclusivity first, other users would be in trouble now. I will not consider a inverse scenario better, just because Sony is “nice”. Is just another giant money maker, full of bullshit too. But i respect the users, like me and my frozen PS3 Skyrim.

The shame here is the failure in the final result with the multiplatform after five years.

  21. Hearthfire crashes every single time I enter a built home after placing a door on it, even if I remove all items and followers, even if I disable everything else. It’s unusable and the user mod that has you build a house is FAR less buggy. That is sad.

  22. Will there be a release date for Hearthfire (English version) in Japan? Steam is giving me unavailable in my region error. I had no problems with Dawnguard.

  23. Do you plan to release any more patches on the 360 specifically related to Hearthfire as I’m unable to purchase a third house with 2 of my characters.

    • Been looking through that thread and I see that most folks are reporting having mods installed… that could be the conflict.

Is that the case for you?

      • I’m sorry, I seem to have missed that some people actually got their problems resolved by uninstalling certain mods. Then I must say that I’m at a loss here, because I’ve already tried with every mod uninstalled. I was almost certain that this must have been a bug.

      • Well, it seems to work perfectly with the new save. Is it possible that my original save file from my first character is corrupted somehow? That some mods are “printed in” to my save?

If so, is there a way to fix that, or is that save ruined forever?

        Thanks in advance.

      • Nevermind, it’s resolved now. I reloaded back to before I had started the Hearthfire quests and then it just worked.
I have already tried that once before with no success, don’t now why it suddenly decided to work this time. I’m just glad it did.

  24. Yes, I’ve got mods installed, though none of which they’re mentioning in that thread. I’ve also tried to play without any mods what so ever and I still get the same problem. I’ve just started a new game to see if it was something wrong with my save.

  25. Gstaff, are you seriously just going to continue on ignoring us? I asked you an honest question. If all you can do is copy/paste the same comment that you have been giving us since August then are you admitting that absolutely no progress has been made on PS3 dlc since your last post? That is what you are currently implying unless you would like to say otherwise.
