Application

How to apply

As with other UK universities, applications to UCL are made via UCAS. These pages guide you through the key points you need to consider.

Special note for Law and Medicine applicants

Applications are made through UCAS as for other degree programmes. However, the following additional actions must be taken.

Law applicants

You must sit the LNAT (National Admissions Test for Law).

The test must be taken as soon as possible after submitting your UCAS application and no later than 20 January in the same admissions cycle in which you are applying. Registration for the test closes on 15 January. Details of the test and the location of public test centres can be found on the LNAT website.

Please note that a charge will apply for the test, which students must cover themselves. Details of costs are on the LNAT website.

Medicine applicants (A100)

You must submit a UCAS application by the 15 October deadline and sit the BMAT (Biomedical Admissions Test).

Details of the test, the dates it is being held and the location of public test centres can be found on the BMAT website. Please note that a charge will apply for the test, which students must cover themselves. Details of costs are on the BMAT website.

All applicants being actively considered are required to attend an interview, whether resident in the UK or overseas. In the event of an offer being made, there are some additional non-academic entry requirements, such as a minimum age, occupational health clearance and police checks. Information about all of these can be found on the UCL Medical School website.
