FLOODS - Burnett River Mapping

BURNETT RIVER FLOOD GAUGE MAPPING SYSTEM

Residents across the Bundaberg Region, and especially those in floodplain locations, are now able to access flood mapping relating to their individual properties based on upstream flood gauge levels.

Bundaberg Regional Council staff members Dwayne Honor and Steve Bowden are members of a team who have created a first for the region and a process that is unique in Australia with online software that will allow residents to easily correlate flood gauge heights to potential inundation of their individual properties.
