Youth Month
Bundaberg Region celebrates with youth activities & events across the month of April

National Youth Week is the largest celebration of young people in Australia with events and activities happening all over the country. Thousands of young people aged 12-25 years get involved each year in organising and celebrating national Youth Week. It is a time of opportunities for young people to share ideas, showcase their talent, have their voices heard and HAVE FUN!

Here in the Bundaberg Region we don't think a week is long enough!!! We celebrate with a range of Youth Activities/Events for the entire month of APRIL

RE:ACT Youth Month 2018

Childers Colour Chaos

Childers Colour Chaos was a great  success for its 2nd year. Held on Wednesday 11 April the event saw a splash of colour powder in the afternoon followed by the DJ and games in the early evening . With the support again of Gin Gin Community Bank Branch - Bendigo Bank, it was sure a must do community event for 2018. We thank all our volunteers and committee member for making this event such a  great success again.

Due to low ticket sales our planned events in both Gin Gin and Childers were cancelled.

Youth Month 2017

R U Ok? Quentin and the 1 million conversation challenge

Our R U Ok? Champions partnered with R U Ok? to bring Quentin (a question marked shaped mascot) into our region to take part in the 1 million conversation challenge. Quentin had a full travel diary with a range of photos and challenges taken up. In the coming weeks we will share his diary tour album.

Other events included

4670# Jam

Jack Fahey helped host another #4670 Jam that was supported by photographer Icono Images who you can purchase picture from and  Skate and Strings

Childers Colour Chaos and Colour Me Happy Gin Gin

Childers and Gin Gin were both turned into a cloud of colour, music and plenty of laughs and fun when we held the first Childers and Gin Gin Colour Run events. The community came out and supported this great event on a bright day full of sunshine.

If not for the sponsorship support from: Country to Coast Homes and Inscribe It , Got Active Fitness, Gin Gin Community Bank: Bendigo Bank,  and Hawkey Electrical the dedicated work of the of the Childers and Gin Gin Committee's the events would not have been such a great success.

Thursday 27th April - RE:ACT YOUTH SUMMIT 2017

The Youth Summit was held on Thursday 27 April 2017 with representatives from each of our regions state and private high schools attending to help break information down, priorities the topic areas and to also share ideas on how we may be able to meet youth priorities.

Bargara Neon Run

This event would not have been possible without the support of the following groups: Bargara Progress Association, Bundaberg Surf Life Saving Club, Rotary Club of Bargara and Central Queensland University and a number of young community members.
