Listed below in alphabetical order are Major League Baseball players, Negro League players, baseball executives, baseball pioneers, and baseball managers, who have passed away and a link to that leads to a photograph of their grave site.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We have over 200 additional grave site photos from Hall of Fame players, Hall of Fame executives, Hall of Fame Negro League players, and umpires here at Baseball almanac also, but those are listed on their own respective menus (links to each is in the chart header) to make the size of this page manageable.

"You should always go to other people's funerals, otherwise, they won't come to yours." - Hall of Fame Catcher Yogi Berra in The Cultural Encyclopedia of Baseball (Jonathan Fraser Light, 2005)

Baseball Graves

When Rube Waddell passed away on April 1, 1914 due to tuberculosis his grave was marked by a simple wooden stake. Connie Mack, John McGraw and others pitched in $500 to have a marker made which still stands to this day Rube Waddell Grave Site.

In his book "Three and Two" (Tom Gorman, 1979), umpire Tom Gorman requested to be buried in his umpire uniform with an indicator set in his hand at a 3-2 count.

Did you know that Baseball Almanac has several other pages closely related to this topic which might be of interest including: Hall of Fame Gravesite Locations, Umpire Burial Locations and a Baseball Player Obituaries & Death by Month Chart?
