Fire Emblem Awakening

Fire Emblem Awakening is a Nintendo first-party Japanese Strategy RPG for the Nintendo 3DS. It is best known for its permanent death feature; if a character dies in battle, that character is lost for the entire game.

Fire Emblem Awakening features a classic mode with permanent death, and a casual mode which allows for fallen characters to return at the end of the battle.

This is the third 3DS title to support paid DLC. The final North American release date was revealed to be February 4th, 2013, in a Nintendo Direct presentation.

It is the 13th entry in the long-running Fire Emblem series. One of its prequels (Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones) was released on the 3DS eShop (one of 10 GBA games), available for Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors to download for free.

A demo became available in the North American Nintendo 3DS eShop on January 17th. The full game can now be downloaded through the 3DS eShop.
