I want to be – and have been – creative in my approach to this game. Along my travels, I have met many good people and developed tremendous friendships. I'm a baseball lifer and I hope to continue to work in the game in one capacity or another." - Rob Ducey (Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame Press Release, 02/19/2013, Source)

Did you know that Rob Ducey is one of only four (Denis Boucher, Shawn Hill and Matt Stairs) Canadian born ballplayers to play for the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays?

Rob Ducey played in the first game ever at the Skydome (June 5, 1989), was the last Texas Rangers player to hit a home run in Arlington Stadium (October 2, 1993), and he was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2013 (along with George Bell, Tim Raines, broadcaster Tom Cheek and jack-of-all-trades Nat Bailey).

On September 14, 1987, Rob Ducey hit his first big league home run in the seventh inning off Mike Kinnunen, two men were on base, two outs had been recorded. That particular home run was one of ten hit by the Toronto Blue Jays that day, a historic occasion as no team before or after that day had ever had that many home runs in a game.
