London-based Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto launched both their marriage and textile design company Eley Kishimoto in 1992. Nicknamed "the patron saints of prints," they created imaginative, pretty fabrics for everyone from Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton to Jil Sander and Alexander McQueen. In 1996, the pair began their own womenswear collection—known for its eye-catching geometric patterns and bold, bright hues—and have since placed their prints on everything from housewares to cell phones. They also served as creative directors of French fashion house Cacharel from 2007 to 2008.
