PREPARE FOR CASE INTERVIEWS

Case interviews are stimulating and challenging.  To do well, experts advise that candidates practice at least 20 cases to understand the unique thinking required, as well as the structured 4-step approach. This includes:

  1. Understand the Case
  2. Structure and Analyze
  3. Evaluate Options
  4. Make Recommendations

For students applying to internships and consultant positions at consulting firms, attached are helpful tips and resources. You may also start with this introductory video: Case Interview Starter Guide for Non-Business Candidates.

For more information and to practice, please contact Lisa Toby at ltoby@bu.edu.
