Bliain na Gaeilge 2018

Clár de ghnímh chruthaíochta agus feasachta beartaithe le plé ar an teanga a chur i lár an aonaigh.

Is féile bhliana ar son na teanga í Bliain na Gaeilge 2018 le ceiliúradh a dhéanamh ar an nGaeilge agus ar 125 bliain ónar cuireadh tús le hathbheochan na Gaeilge.  Déanfar ceiliúradh ar thábhacht agus ar thionchar na hathbheochana ar an bpobal agus cuirfear dúshláin reatha na teanga i lár an aonaigh i 2018.

I rith Bhliain na Gaeilge 2018 déanfar ceiliúradh ar an teanga trí ghníomhú ar chúig théama faoi leith.

1. Athbheochan na Gaeilge le 125 bliain anuas;
2. Cruthaíocht na Gaeilge;
3. Beocht na Teanga:
4. Rannpháirtíocht an Phobail agus
5. Luach ár nGaeltachtaí

Programme includes events to raise awareness about Irish and put language at the heart of public discourse.

Bliain na Gaeilge 2018 is a year-long festival to celebrate both the Irish language and the 125 years since the beginning of its revival.  The importance of the revival and its impact on the public will  be celebrated in 2018, though current difficulties and challenges to the language will also be brought to the fore.

During Bliain na Gaeilge 2018 we will celebrate the Irish language through action on five themes:

1. The revival of the language over the last 125 years
2. The creativity of the language
3. The vibrancy of the language
4. The participation of the community and
5. The value of our Gaeltachtaí
