Executive Master in Cultural Leadership
-
Art starts here
In 2018, during our 250th year, we launched our first ever Executive Master in Cultural Leadership, in partnership with Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
This unique Executive MA is designed for a generation of leaders who want to bring a rich understanding of culture and creativity to their own organisations and aspire to positively shape the arts and cultural sectors by enabling long-term, sustainable and innovative growth.
Taught in London, Maastricht and Brussels, the course has been jointly developed by the RA and Maastricht University. Balancing an understanding of the arts and culture alongside arts business and management, over eight intensive taught modules you will explore critical perspectives in arts and culture, art business, art law, technology and innovation, collecting and collections management, exhibitions and temporary events.
A further special module is focused entirely on leadership, providing personal leadership development tailored to each student’s ambitions and goals. Keynote lectures from inspirational leaders run throughout the year. Finally, a dissertation thesis or professional project will allow you to apply your learning to real-world scenarios and develop skills that are transferable to the workplace.
The Executive Master in Cultural Leadership is now open for applications. The course has one intake per year in January. Applications will be taken on a rolling basis. Places are limited and we will not accept further applications once all the spaces are filled. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
