Novel coronavirus

In December 2019, a novel coronavirus was first isolated from three patients with pneumonia, connected to the cluster of acute respiratory illness cases from Wuhan, China. Since then, the outbreak has rapidly evolved affecting other parts of China and outside the country. Cases have now been detected in several countries in Asia, but also in Australia, Europe and North America.
