Overview

The freestyle skiing events at the 2010 Winter Olympic were held at Cypress Mountain. There was almost no snow on the mountain and the events could only be held by trucking in snow from distant venues. The unusual appearance was of a course of white snow against a backdrop of brown trees and dirt along the sides of the courses. The program retained the four events that had been in place since the 1994 Winter Olympics (men's and women's Moguls and Aerials), but added Skier-Cross competitions for both men and women.
