4. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama

There is some dispute as to who is the top receiver in the draft, as Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb and Jeudy’s Alabama teammate, Henry Ruggs, can make arguments. Jeudy, however, is the best all-around receiver in the class. He has enough speed to beat opposing defensive backs and the intelligence and route-running ability to quickly become an elite receiver. There’s no reason he can’t instantly improve some team’s passing attack.

3. Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville

One of the big winners of the NFL Combine, Becton’s 5.10 40-yard time opened a lot of eyes among scouts and other observers. That, along with his other athletic feats, has likely propelled him into the top ten, and maybe even higher. While a bit less polished than some of his counterparts, Becton’s physical tools will tempt teams. As long as he keeps progressing, he has a chance to be an elite tackle at the NFL level.

2. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

The uncertainty over Tagovailoa as he recovers from his hip surgery obscures the fact that he was a tremendous quarterback when healthy. A dual threat with a great arm, Tagovailoa is perfect for what a lot of NFL teams are looking for in their quarterback. His injury, among other factors, is hurting him in the eyes of some teams, but he looks like the full package as long as he stays healthy. That probably makes him worth the risk.

1. Joe Burrow, QB, LSU

Burrow may not have the elite physical tools, but he’s one of the smartest quarterbacks to come out of college in recent years. At LSU, he was able to make big plays and read defenses and exploit their weaknesses. He can use his legs to hurt teams, and he has the arm to cause damage as well. Burrow may be a late bloomer, but he has the look of the real deal. He’s almost certain to be the first overall pick. The Bengals should be very happy about that.
