  • Implement policy measures to reach both energy and climate targets

    Consider energy and climate issues as a whole when deciding upon policy measures for reaching the sector's targets set by the government as well as the targets adopted internationally and within the European Union. Prioritise measures that are the most cost-effective and suitable for meeting multiple targets and socio-economic objectives.

  • Monitor policy measures towards 2030 and 2050 targets

    Ensure that policy measures for reaching medium-term energy and climate targets in 2030 are dimensioned and directed so that they are consistent with possible paths towards long-term objectives to 2050.

  • Adjust the taxation regulatory framework

    Assess current energy taxation principles, structure and levels in light of the energy and climate policy objectives, and adjust them to ensure that taxation is not a barrier and does not undermine current or intended policy.

  • Support the Danish Energy Regulatory Authority’s mission

    Ensure that the Authority has sufficient funds and human resources to perform in a competent manner to regulate the electricity, gas and district heating and carry out frequent competition inquiries.
