History

Bloomsbury’s history list brings together its current expanding publishing programme with books from such important historic imprints as Continuum, Berg and Hambledon. Our books range from undergraduate texts and general interest titles, to academic research and reference works, along with digital library the Churchill Archive. We publish broadly from early medieval to contemporary history and also in ancient history and classical studies.

In May 2018 Bloomsbury acquired I.B. Tauris, strengthening our programme in the humanities and social sciences, particularly Middle East Studies, Politics and International Relations, where I.B. Tauris has been a leader. I.B. Tauris books will be available on the Bloomsbury website in December 2018.
