Separation Standards Analysis Branch

The Separation Standards Analysis Branch provides analytical assessments to develop, determine, implement and monitor aircraft separation standards. These analyses are based on emerging air traffic management concepts, technologies and procedures in consideration of communications, navigation and surveillance capabilities. The branch examines separation and airspace concepts in analytical and modeled environments to determine the safety of operations, technical and operational performance suitability, and usability.
