Two easy ways to add funds to your balance
Reload
With Reload, you can add funds to your Amazon Gift Card balance with a one-time, manual reload on a date of your choice.
Auto-Reload
With Auto-Reload, you can automate fund transfers to your Amazon Gift Card balance.
Threshold adds a fixed amount to your balance when the balance gets low (e.g. when balance drops below $10, add a $100 gift card).
Frequency adds a fixed amount on a regular schedule (e.g. monthly, weekly, daily).
How does it work and how will I be charged when I sign up for Auto-Reload?

Are there any maintenance fees for the funds I reload and does the balance I reload expire?
No. Amazon Does not charge any fees for you balance and there is no expiration date for the balance you reload.
What can I use my balance to shop for?
You can use your balance toward eligible items on Amazon, including physical products, digital content, and offers from third party merchants.
Can I change my Auto-Reload setting?

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I like automatically adding money weekly but if I want to skip a week the only way to do it is to delete the auto-reload and start a new one. There is no way to edit your auto-reload settings. Clicking on the "Modify your setting" link just takes you to the "Amazon.ca Gift Card Balance Reload" page. It's been like this for months.
Also, when you set up an auto-reload on a current day, it starts on the day before the date you pick. That means if you want your auto-reload to start on a Monday, you have to pick Tuesday for your start date.
Not easy to cancel. I tried to modify my auto reload to come out on a different date because even though I chose a Friday for it to come out when I got the email that it was set up it showed it was coming out on Thursday. I hit cancel and tried again to set up the correct date and now it takes it out on both days!!! Not sure how to get rid of the wrong one because if you select "modify" it sets up a new withdrawal. Not impressed with it.
i use joker pre-paid mastercard. amazon won't except pre-paid credit cards. what i do is i use this card to add a gift card to my account and it goes threw every time so great for someone who does not have a actual bank credit card good way of getting to use your pre-paid mastercard
Raising the minimum gift card balance reload to $5 is a bizarre business decision. The ability of customers to get rid of small balances on myriad gift cards was a win-win-win situation for sellers, customers and ultimately, amazon. If we needed [another] reason to ditch amazon in favor of going back to real stores - and helping build back our local businesses - this is it. Way to go amazon - you're so clever!
Like you don't already make enough money. I would always take all my prepaid visas that had random small amounts on them, and I would add them to my Amazon account. Since you changed the minimum reload balance to $5, I can no longer do that, and you will no longer be receiving most of my business.
Like others have commented, I reload my Amazon gift card with whatever I have left on used pre-paid credit cards. Sometimes it’s over $5. But sometimes it’s not. Kind of a low blow on Amazon’s side
Used to be a good way to get excess money of off gift cards and use them on Amazon, until they changed the price to a minimum of $5. Now will probably never ever use this.
