All Sunbrella fabrics are engineered to combine the highest level of design and performance. For easy day-to-day maintenance of your Sunbrella fabric:

1.Brush off loose dirt.

2.Spray on a cleaning solution of water and mild soap.

3.Use a soft bristle brush to clean.

4.Allow cleaning solution to soak into the fabric.

5.Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is removed. Air dry.

6.Cover and store indoors in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation when not in use.

After reading all the Amazon reviews we were convinced we had a limited number of choices when it came to getting a larger patio umbrella. After reading some of the critical reviews we went ahead & bought this 11 footer. It arrived sooner than Amazon had promised. The shipping carton was undamaged and the umbrella in perfect condition. Size? Bigger than most other offerings in garden centers and web sites. Quality? No complaints on the finish, hardware, construction and operation. Oh yes it's as wind sensitive as a sail on a boat so we just don't put it out when the wind is gusting off the lake. All the cushions on our patio furniture are covered in Sunbrella fabric and it is a perfect match. We certainly never expected this umbrella to operate like a smaller patio umbrella. Collapsing requires a little finesse as the descending fabric gathers between the ribs. We simply take our time and arrange the fabric folds equally between the ribs before returning the umbrella to inside storage. Would we buy another? Absolutely.

I have hunted for a good quality 11 ft. market umbrella for months. I did find a great one but it was out of stock until the end of December and I really needed one now so after searching again I ordered this one. I live in Arizona and not only do I need good sun protection which this has with the Sunbrella fabric but I need good wind protection. I have another very sturdy umbrella which does fine in the winds here when it is down. This umbrella probably won't do well in even a small wind..down or not. It is only 1.5 in. diameter and is a lightweight hollow aluminum. Just sitting in the stand with no wind it sways. I will keep it for now and grab it out of the stand (we have a weighted stand) anytime the wind will be coming up. As soon as I can find another really sturdy one this will only be out when I need extra for a gathering. Additionally as someone else mentioned the material is short and doesn't always cover the next layer. If I had paid half of what I did I would be OK but this umbrella is not the quality of its pricetag. The Sunbrella fabric is its best feature. Disappointed.

We had it 2 years and it started needing repairs at that point. Now it is almost 5 years and frame seems beyond repair. Can only crank halfway. Parts don’t seem to be readily available. For the price I would expect much better quality and longevity. We also bought 2 nine footers and they too have required repairs. We live in an area that gets mild weather so the umbrellas haven’t had a rough life. Don’t understand how a company specializing in umbrellas can’t provide a quality product. The only good thing about this umbrella is the sunbrella material which is awesome - has not torn or faded.

Paid a lot of money for Sunbrella Fabric. Set it up next to our other sunbrella fabric umbrella. The California Umbrella fabric considerably lighter weight and almost see-through. Single stitching was pathetic. Not a finish stitch much less not double line stitch like our other, less expensive umbrella. Flimsy frame. There was a broken rib. I paid $61 shipping to return. Still waiting for response.
