My favorite case
I have tried 30+ kindle cases over the years, these cork cases are by far my favorites. I’ve had this case since July of last year, and just took the photos today. These cork cases hold up beautifully, and when opened all the way they allow the kindle to lay completely flat on a table. They feel really nice in the hand, and are the lightest weight of any case I’ve tried. The edge has some creases but no tears or rips from daily use for 9 months now. I just ordered the light color as well. Highly recommend these cases.

I know some people have negative things to say about this cover… I disagree. I love the way it looks, I love the way it feels in my hands. YES it’s made of real cork. It may be thin and cardboard inside, but the outside is definitely cork. It is evident upon scratching the surface with your nails. You can feel the rubbery spongy feeling that cork has. So those that’s saying it’s a plastic cheap feeling, no. Those are lies. It has a nice tactile feel to it. It’s very lightweight which I like and I personally love that it’s thin and minimalist for portability. I mean that’s one of the main benefits of a kindle right? I can slip it into my back pocket in my jeans and take it anywhere. Why would I want a huge, heavy, thick cover? May as well carry a hardcover around everywhere at that point. Small and thin and light is a good thing. I don’t understand the complaints about this. The only concern I have is durability/longevity.
I have been using it several times a day for about a week now and I see very minuscule cracks forming on the inside of the spine from opening and closing regularly. Probably just the nature of the material I suppose… being cork and all. (I tried to take photos of it but it’s so small as of now that it wouldn’t show up in photos). I’m wondering how long it will last with heavy usage before those micro cracks begin to become substantial. But only Time will tell. This is why I give 4 start instead of 5. Other than that, I adore this addition to my beloved kindle.
Is it overpriced? Honestly yes. Do I care? Nope, not really. I’m happy with it.
