Austin FC II played to a 1-1 draw at home vs. Colorado Rapids 2 on Friday, June 7 at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center.
ATXFC II forward CJ Fodrey netted his second MLS NEXT Pro goal of the season in the 17th minute to open the scoring, finishing off a pass from Rubén Bonachera with an accurate left-footed strike. But Colorado’s Alec Díaz would level the score in the 42nd minute, tying the match minutes before half time.
The second half was scoreless as neither side had any clear chances at goal. During penalties the visiting team converted all five (5) of their attempts to claim the extra point on offer.
