Korean girl group WJSN, also known as Cosmic Girls, returned with the dreamy new single “Save Me, Save You” on Wednesday.
Beginning with a gentle clock ticking noise and melodious piano notes, “Save Me, Save You” transforms into a woozy dance track full of twinkling synths, layered harmonies, and scraping beats. It, like many WJSN singles, revels in a sleek cacophony of sound effects as the group’s members sweetly sing about getting closer with another person by opening about one’s story.
The single was created by the Full8loom team, who also worked on GOT7’s new single “Lullaby” released earlier this week. Rapper Exy co-wrote lyrics.
The whimsical music video for “Save Me, Save You” depicts the group at a fantastical magic school, where shooting stars and witchcraft are frequent occurrences. Like other WJSN videos, the group’s latest features heavily-saturated scenery, with animated effects playing a major role.

The album’s title WJ Please? is reportedly meant to be read as “Would You Please?” as “Would You” sounds similar the Korean word for “cosmos” that is featured in the girl group’s name, Ujusonyeo. It features 10 of WJSN’s 13 Girls, as the group’s three Chinese members are currently absent.
The new album is an extension of the group’s Dream Your Dream from February, which also explored WJSN’s magical narrative. It features five other tracks along with the single, including the synth-rock stand out “I-yah.”
