I’m not even sure this qualifies as a real movie. The downward spiral of Adam Sandler’s Hollywood career hits rock bottom with “Jack and Jill,” a wheezy, possibly inbred comedy which ends up as nothing more than a series of individual sketches linked together by a single visual joke. Farts are farted and balls are scratched, but what’s really depressing to witness here is Sandler’s complete laziness, failing to secure at least one measly laugh, trashing his once delightfully absurdist self to make a grotesque comedy that doesn’t even attempt to sustain a plot, instead brimming with poo- ...read more...
