SITE TOUR: Heidelberg Materials Edmonton Cement Plant
Heidelberg Materials cement manufacturing plant in Edmonton is striving to become the world’s first carbon neutral cement plant. Carbon Capture Canada delegates will receive a guided tour of the Heidelberg Materials’ Edmonton Cement plant and see two operating CO2 capture pilot plants informing the design of the capture process which is anticipated to capture up to 95% of the plant’s CO₂ emissions, and those of the integrated combined heat and power plant.
SITE TOUR: Shell Quest
The two-hour tour of the Quest CCS capture facility includes an overview of Quest's processes, technology, subsurface geology, and monitoring plans. Transportation to and from the venue and breakfast are included. Last year's tour sold out in days, so be sure to register soon!
CARBON CAPTURE WORKSHOPS
These intensive workshops provide decision makers, planners, designers, operators, and engineers with the fundamentals to better understand the amine-based carbon capture process, which is suitable for oil and gas GHG CO2 emission emitting facilities. The workshop participants will learn the methodology to evaluate carbon capture options, design a process, establish a project and its phases, and more.

The knowledge bars at Carbon Capture Canada will be dedicated areas where knowledge exchange occurs between customers, clients, and attendees.
