#1: The Confluence

(visited by David Williams)

13-Jul-2024 -- Saturday morning and I am on my way to compete in the German Amateur Radio Direction Finding Championships - and I notice there is a confluence close to my route - for which I can use a professional radio location service.

A short (but steep and muddy) walk through prime continental beech woodlands from a nearby public car park. My SatNav wants me to drive BUT all signs say "forbidden" and I'd need a 4x4 for sections.

There is a informative sign close to the confluence - created by a local Amateur Radio Club.

Judging by how deep the nearby gullies are the confluence the trail has been much used for timber or mineral extraction.
