    • Separation Information: When a separated Marines wants to withdraw their contributions from TSP, sometimes TSP informs them that the contributions can’t be withdrawn because they do not have the proper separation information from the branch of service.  When this occurs, the Marine must contact DFAS to have the correct separation information submitted to TSP.  This can be accomplished by submitting an askDFAS secure online form. Provide a written statement including the Marine’s full name, SSN or EDIPI, date of discharge, and the specific information needing to be sent to TSP.  Include a scanned copy of a government issued identification card (driver’s license, ID card, passport, etc…).
    • Change of address: If you’re on Active Duty or a Drilling Reservist in the Marine Corps, you can update your TSP address through your administrative unit, or via Marine On-Line (MOL), by updating the correspondence address and when prompted to do so, update your TSP address as well.
      • If you’re separated/discharged, TSP may inform you that you cannot access your TSP information without knowing the address associated with your account at the time of separation.  Your TSP address can be updated by DFAS and submitted to TSP.  The separated/discharged Marine must contact DFAS-CL, requesting an update, by submitting an askDFAS secure online form .  Provide a written statement including the Marine’s full name, SSN or EDIPI, date of discharge, and the current mailing address.  Include a scanned copy of a government issued identification card (driver’s license, ID card, passport, etc.).

  • DoD Savings Deposit Program
    • SDP Inquiry:  myPay provides the status of SDP deposits that have been reported in the Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS). When a Marine makes an SDP deposit in a Finance Office that is not a Marine Corps Finance Office, it may take longer for the deposit to be reported in MCTFS and show in myPay.  It can take 2-3 months before DFAS receives a copy of a collection voucher from the other branch of service before it can be processed.  If it has been more than 3 months and a deposit does not show in myPay, the Marine may request the status update of the SDP deposit. This can be accomplished by submitting an askDFAS secure online form to DFAS. Please attach a copy of the collection voucher and any other document which supports a deposit was made.
