This is a very good book to guide you on what ponies you have, their names, descriptions, accessories, and pricing. However, I find the pricing a bit old now so I'm sure prices have changed as this book was published in 2008. I also found it difficult to know what kind of accessories some ponies have. From most descriptions we are told what the accessories are, but we don't always get to see what those accessories look like. It would have been nice to have been provided images of the accessories, but it's understandable. Overall it's a good book to start you off in the right direction.

This book was amazing! A nice stroll down memory lane and a guide to identifying ponies I remember from my childhood. The author really is passionate about my little pony and put a lot of detail into this book. I thought I liked my little pony when I was younger but didn’t realize the vast amount of ponies, play sets, mail order specials etc. If you found a old box of ponies or want to learn more I highly recommended this book!

This is a very well organized and complete checklist of ponies and their accessories from the G1 era. Each pony has a picture, and some accessories are pictured as well. The pictures are also fairly high quality, and you can definitely identify each pony by the picture shown. The ponies and accessories all have tentative prices and values included, though if you want to find an accurate price for your pony at this exact moment, doing a little research on ebay, etc. would be a good idea.

I do have to say that this is a very good book to use when organizing your collection, and every MLP collector should own a copy!

Note, however, that international ponies are not listed in this book. These are all American releases.

Fabulous, super-complete resource for G1 US collectors. Lovely pictures. The notes on variations are very helpful. This is truly a joy to own and page through.

My only minor complaint is about the formatting: I would have preferred it if the book had had more collections on the same page (or two), rather than breaking them up across pages. I love seeing the entire group of ponies on one or two pages at one glance, all together. But instead they are sometimes separated in order to save space. I guess as a tree-hugger I can't complain too much ;-)

I would love a book like this on Euro G1s.

Summer's guide is so very comprehensive and precise. The information is presented in a neat, easy-to-use format. The pricing guides are very helpful, even in an ever-changing market. The photos are also very clear and large, which makes identification so much easier than before. I love my guide, can't stop flipping through from time to time, and don't know what I ever did without it!
