She studied Philosophy at Barnard College, part of Columbia University in New York City. Expecting to continue studying philosophy in graduate school, Ann took a year off after college to work as an editor, hoping to save money for school. Loving her job, she never went to graduate school, and instead, remained in New York City and worked as an editor for many years. Ann made the transition from editor to full-time writer with her first novel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Ann and her husband live with their three children in New York.

This goes from how Steve Jobs, and his friend Steve Wozniak build a homemade computer in Jobs' dad garage, to the multimillion-dollar company named apple. From the Apple computer I,II,III, Apple Lisa, Macintosh, Ibook, iMac, to the newest Mac Book Pro. As a child of the 60s", Steve Jobs traveled around the globe in an attempt to find himself. He followed his dream, and he never gave up this was the reason for him to keep going and reach this man many people will remember as a hero.
This book was amazing, but it was also a bit confusing when Jobs moved company, and then came back again, but overall, a great book.
