Former Bond girl Alison Doody is back in new action role

The 48-year-old is busy once again on a movie set, after landing the elad role in the forthcoming thriller We Still Kill the Old Way.

The Film tells the story of a group of aging London gangsters who go on a vigilante killing spree when one of their number is murdered by a street gang.

Alison plays Susan Taylor in the project, currently being shot in the UK.

It is being directed by Sacha Bennet, and Ian Ogilvy and Steven Berkoff will feature opposite Alison.

The Dublin-based star soared to fame in 1985 when she appeared as Jenny Flex opposite Roger Moore in his final outing as 007 in A View to a Kill.

In addition to becoming - and remaining - the youngest ever Bond girl, she also worked with Harrison Ford in the 1989 hit Indiana JOnes and the Last Crusade, in which she played Elsa Schneider.

Fans are set to see quite a lot of Alison in the coming months.

As well as working on We Still Kill the Old Way, she steps out as Nielson in the Suzie Halewood written and directed futuristic film, Division 19.

"It's an action film set in the future, 2039 to be precise, but there are no aliens" she said.

"Linus Roache from Law and Order and Batman Begins is in it and so is Lotte Verbeek from The Borgias and Jamie Draven, who was in Billy Elliot."

American actress Neve Campbell, known for Party of Five, was originally cast in Alison's part but the mother of two steppe din before principal photography kicked off in California.

"I really enjoyed doing it and it has a great script.  It's similar to the character Elsa I played in Indiana Jones," she said.

A former model, Alison's credits include RTE's The Clinic and Jim Henson's The Storyteller.
