Expert Committees

Competition Management Committee
In accordance with the competition management rules, this committee ensures that all-Japan competitions and international competitions which are sponsored by the All Japan Judo Federation and held within Japan are carried out in a smooth and captivating manner, and works to improve the management of these competitions. This committee is also charged with the training of experts who perform key roles related to the management of Judo competitions.
Training & Promotion Committee
This committee plans and executes Judo classes as well as seminars and training for Judo instructors, promotes the spread of Judo among children and young adults, and works to improve instructor proficiency. This committee also handles training for instructors of sight-impaired Judo practitioners and women's Judo.
Judging Committee
In accordance with the Certified Contest Officials Regulations, this committee handles judge testing, and conducts frequent judge seminars and training sessions in order to improve the proficiency of Judo judges. This committee also actively dispatches judges to international competitions and participates in training programs to produce competent international judges. In order to improve the judging accuracy in all-Japan competitions, this committee works to establish a standardized judging committee system which is illustrated and explained through a judging video system. The committee also creates training videos (DVD), etc., for the purpose of improving the proficiency of judges.
International Committee
In order to play a leadership role in international Judo, and to fulfill Japan's responsibility to international Judo, this committee actively dispatches personnel to international competitions, and works to strengthen exchanges with various affiliated Judo organizations such as the IJF and JUA, etc., while also gathering the latest international Judo information. In order to quickly react to problems related to international Judo, this committee works to broaden its network in order to gather accurate information. This committee also dispatches personnel to international events in which the Support Committee does not participate, and creates support systems for inviting foreign teams to Japan.
Support Committee
This committee works over the long term to strengthen adult competitors with the potential to compete in major competitions such as the Olympics and the World Championships, etc. The committee aims to "foster competitors with powerful ippon waza, and with the strength to attack relentlessly to the very end", in order to produce zealous and skillful junior competitors who represent the future of Japan Judo.
Medical Committee
This committee is primarily charged with dispatching doctors to domestic competitions, and with other activities to strengthen Judo competitors. Committee activities include providing first-aid services for domestic competitions, and engaging doctors throughout the year for doping control purposes.
