OAKLAND — A man was fatally shot Sunday night in East Oakland, police said.

Police were still trying to identify the man Monday. He is believed to be in his 30s.

The man was found shot about 11:44 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of 103rd Avenue near International Boulevard.

He was taken to a hospital where he died about an hour later early Monday.

Police are trying to determine the motive for the shooting. No arrests have been made.

The killing is the 109th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. The California Highway Patrol has also investigated five homicides on Oakland freeways. Last year at this time, Oakland police had investigated 119 homicides in the city.
